Our Journey
Monash Health's Mental Health Program provides a comprehensive and broad range of specialist clinical mental health services across all age groups. The services are provided in a variety of inpatient units on hospital sites (Kingston, Clayton, Dandenong, Casey), community mental health and a variety of residential settings. We also provide several specialist and statewide services. We are currently implementing the recommendations from the Victorian Mental Health Royal Commission.
This is an exciting and improved role within the Mental Health Program where you will play an important role in leading, assisting and working with the senior clinical and operational leadership team in planning and implementing Business and Service Improvement initiatives that support the strategic, operational and consumer focused service development and delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide leadership, project management and business support for the Mental Health Program (MHP). The role will work collaboratively across the MHP and more broadly across Monash Health to ensure agreed deliverables are achieved in an effective and efficient manner.
In addition to this, you will work collaboratively with the MHP Program Director and Senior Operational and Clinical Management Team to plan and implement Business and Service Improvement initiatives that support the strategic and operational service development and delivery. The Business and Service Lead ensures clinical and professional governance frameworks across the MHP are operationalised and effective and will assume accountability of assigned large scale projects delivering on agreed objectives, quality reporting and meeting deadlines.
This is a full time ongoing role, based at Dandenong Hospital with generous remuneration.
About You
You already have a comprehensive understanding of health systems and processes, specifically around governance, risk management, project management, change management, digital systems, and corporate services. You will be adept in identifying problems, analytics, solution development, implementation, and evaluation. A strong communicator, you are skilled in negotiating win-win solutions and effectively influence stakeholders to gain their support for projects, initiatives, reports, proposals, and changes.
What you need:
- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualification required.
- Project management and/or change management certification is desirable.
- Proven expertise in project management, including problem identification, analytics, solution development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Advanced skills in information synthesis, including report writing for Board and Executive committees.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively influence and build sustainable and successful relationships with people and teams across all levels of the organisation.
- Certification in process redesign and/or improvement science is desirable.
