Job description

Expand and share your business systems knowledge, skills and expertise with colleagues who support over 500 independent schools across NSW by joining the Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW) as a Business Applications Administrator.

A 6-month parental leave position (with the possibility of extension) has become available in the Technology Team to commence as soon as possible. We are seeking a full-time IT professional in the role of Business Systems Administrator focused on the provision of reliable, efficient and well-supported Business Applications and platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

The broader role of the Business Applications Administrator at AISNSW typically involves working with internal staff and external stakeholders to support their day-to-day use of our Business Applications. This could involve troubleshooting issues, providing ad-hoc guidance and training, escalating to and working with vendors and 3rd party support providers.
The role will also involve keeping business application documentation up to date, this includes process flows, procedures, support articles and other resources. 
Working as part of the broader Technology Team, the role plays a key part in ensuring our Business Applications are well-supported, especially as the organisation undergoes a period of significant digital transformation.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL YOU NEED?

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in similar role(s) delivering quality Business Applications
  • Experience in supporting and administering the following Business Applications/platforms (or similar): Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 (Preferably Dynamics 365 on prem) and Microsoft SharePoint 2016 (Mandatory)
  • Exposure to a wider range of Business Applications such as: ClickDimensions; Qualtrics; ConnX HR and Recruitment; Sage 300 ERP; Microsoft SQL Reporting Services; Microsoft Power BI; Microsoft Windows Server; Linux; Web Servers; Microsoft 365 including SharePoint Online and Teams (Preferred)

WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Maintaining the status-quo of current Business Applications
  • Updating configuration settings of Business Applications to meet business requirements
  • Responding to internal service requests and incident reports via phone, email and chat
  • Responding to all CRM and website support requests
  • Upskilling the Service Desk team so as they can manage Level 1 requests
  • Acting as the escalation point for 2nd/3rd level business application issues
  • Liaising with vendor partners if required to escalate and resolve issues
  • Responding to request for updated reports and views
  • Performing root cause analysis and resolve problems 
  • Providing ad-hoc training and support to AISNSW staff in the use of Business Applications
  • Other duties as required by the Chief Executive.

WHAT SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES WILL YOU HAVE?

  • Proven strong technical skills, especially in MS Dynamics (on prem) and SharePoint (on prem)
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and interpret bespoke custom business processes
  • Experience in prioritising requests by level of impact and urgency
  • Capacity to understand existing processes and interpret documentation
  • Willingness to seek assistance after first investigating the issue and associated documentation
  • Ability to pick up and administer a wide range of Business Applications quickly
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality, discretion and deal respectfully with sensitive matters and personal information
  • Proactive and customer focused approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken)

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Full-time availability for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension
  • Capacity to work within the office environment in a Sydney-based role at least 50% of the time
  • Flexibility based on support and maintenance requirements
