About the role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our Business Development initiatives, generating leads and ultimately driving the adoption of our product across the government sector.
Using innovative sales research and marketing knowledge, you will create and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners and prospective customers – owning the customer to client pipeline! This role is responsible for managing the full sales process from first engagement, to presenting functional demonstrations of the solution, contract negotiation and successful closing of the opportunity.
Your efforts will be pivotal in generating, nurturing and converting leads to opportunities and ultimately success for Infocouncil!
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with potential and existing clients and identify new opportunities for growth
- Seeking active and current contacts in local government space
- Prepare scope of service documents, provide quotations to clients for new or additional products or services, and negotiate prices and contract terms and conditions
- Ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers
- Collaborate with Vela Software Group’s Sales Director and Marketing Manager to provide Infocouncil’s business insights to shape the market messaging and go-to-market strategy and execution.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline for future sales of both New Name and Back to Base opportunities in the designated CRM.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years proven experience selling software solutions in a professional environment
- Background and Experience of selling into local government
- Experience in managing the Tender Process
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- In-depth understanding of the IT industry
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth
