We are looking for an business Development Manager to create new and long-term, trusting relationships with our clients and grow revenue for the business. This role is to develop new business and actively seek new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience building process and problem solving, preferably in a start-up environment (but not essential).
Duties include:
- Developing growth of the business by identifying target clients
- Serve as the lead point of contact for new clients
- Connecting to prospective clients via telesales and tele marketing
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, with a deep understanding for their business.
- Increasing client base and revenue of the business
- Strong and in-depth product knowledge
- Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns to convert interest into sales
- Regular follow up on potential clients
- Work with the Grants Coordinator to identify relevant opportunities for your client.
Skills
- Excellent at closing new business.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Sales Acumen – demonstrated experience in pursuing leads, converting interest to sales, and identifying up-sell / cross-sell opportunities.
- Skill in analysing data to prepare comprehensive reports and to provide insight to business leaders.
- Results oriented with a focus on achieving client satisfaction and problem solving.
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated to succeed.
- Comfortable making cold calls.
