About the role:

Reporting to the Head of CES Material Conveyance, this role will see you responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of marketing and sales strategy within a defined area as well as the development of sales opportunities with a view to increase market share.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Personally, leading, building and maintaining strong customer relationship across multiple levels of our client’s organisation.
  • Responsible for managing and growing existing key accounts, whilst delivering new business opportunities for industrial rubber products such as conveyor belts, conveyor products, industrial hose, air springs and power transmission, including service opportunities and lead generation.
  • Achieving sales objectives and targets in accordance with sales area plan.
  • Develop sales and call plans for regular visits with customers to become familiar with their operations.
  • Representing ContiTech business to target existing and new customers with specific tailored and solution driven proposals.
  • In conjunction with technical teams, complete product inspections, audits, analysis and solution driven recommendations.
  • Develop and present new proposals, delivering measurable improvements to customer operations.
  • In conjunction with the commercial team, prepare quotations & manage tender submissions for customers in response to their requests.
  • Support product management in the generation of new market driven product opportunities.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience in Business Development or Customer Relationship Management.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships across multiple levels of a customer’s organisation is desired.
  • Ideally you have good commercial knowledge of the products, services, processes, and system for solutions used in the mining and mineral processing industry.
  • Experience in the sales or service of materials handling systems or industrial rubber products preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience building strong customer focused relationships so that you understand their short and long-term business drivers and requirements.
  • Proven experience in technical selling or with technical or mechanical aptitude is desired.
  • Possess the initiative and confidence in supporting customers, having a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities which will contribute to sales teamwork.
  • Team orientated mindset, strong work ethic and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong organisational skills.
