As a Business Development Manager, you will be a focused and driven individual who thrives on being part of a high energy/high octane team, great at building and maintaining relationships with Financial Advisers and internal ANZ Bank channels in the pursuit of excellence.
Be prepared to work hard in the distribution of Investment products and solutions including KiwiSaver and Managed Funds. The role is ideally suited to someone who brings knowledge of the New Zealand financial services industry to the table, who is goal orientated, is comfortable with public speaking, and can add value from a top down, bottom-up perspective to advisory financial planning practices and internal ANZ Bank channels.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Build the profile of ANZ Funds Management within the advisory community and investors generally.
- Build the profile of Funds Management within your wider Employer business framework.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and practices.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory environment pertaining to the New Zealand financial services industry.
- Identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Adhere to individual, team, and company objectives.
- Run an efficient and effective call cycle programme, including travel.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in financial/investment related organisations and an understanding of applicable regulations and statutory requirements (e.g. FSLAA).
- Demonstrated ability to understand and support change within a large organisation.
- Understanding of technology, and exposure to leading system integrations.
- Ability to exhibit strong values, ethics, competency, and best practice within our business context.
- Qualifications in business studies/financial planning in accordance with regulations, desired but not essential.
