Position Overview:
Sharesight is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive sales and prospecting efforts for Sharesight Pro. This role will focus exclusively on selling software solutions (SaaS) for SME financial advisors, family offices, and accounting firms in Australia, New Zealand, and select international markets.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the financial services industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify and prioritise potential clients within the target market segments, including financial advisors, family offices, and accounting firms.
- Sales: Execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets for Sharesight Pro.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
- Product Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of Sharesight Pro's features, benefits, and value proposition to effectively communicate with prospective clients.
- Consultative Selling: Utilise a consultative sales approach to understand the unique needs and challenges of prospective clients and position Sharesight Pro as the solution.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and prioritise sales opportunities effectively using CRM tools to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and customer success teams to develop targeted marketing campaigns, collateral, and resources to support sales efforts.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.
- Travel: Occasional travel within the territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and represent Sharesight at conferences or trade shows.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Business Development or
- Sales experience within the financial services industry, preferably selling software or technology solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in wealth management, related software platforms, stockbroking, or adjacent industries is preferred.
- Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
