PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE
As the Business Development Manager / Sales Manager at Roobuck, your role is pivotal in driving growth and revenue generation for our organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand our market presence and enhance sales performance in the high-tech industry.
ORGANISATIONAL PROFILE
Roobuck, a rapidly growing high-tech METS company, specialises in delivering IoT safety solutions to the mining and construction industry. We're seeking a seasoned and ambitious Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to join our team. This role centers on introducing innovative Roobuck solutions and technology products, with a particular focus on the underground mining sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulate and execute business growth strategies to introduce new digital mining solutions tailored to customers' specific needs, leveraging your specialized product/market expertise.
- Attain profit targets outlined in the budget by driving orders, sales, pricing, profitability, and market expansion.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and pursuit of business opportunities, fostering relationships with product integrators, distributors, resellers, and customers to meet organizational growth objectives.
- Generate and advance opportunities to maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring regular updates in the company's CRM system.
- Collaborate with Technology, Support, and Marketing teams to launch new products into the market.
- Cultivate and support relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver training, presentations, and knowledge transfer sessions to customers and the broader industry on all Roobuck's digital solutions.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and generation.
- Cultivate and sustain strong client relationships to deliver outstanding solutions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
- Implement effective sales processes and strategies to meet operational objectives.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through successful sales strategies and Business Development efforts.
- Some travel within NSW, interstate, and internationally may be required from time to time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
CAPABILITIES
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for growth and address challenges effectively.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets in a high-tech or related industry.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or sales management roles, preferably in the high-tech industry.
- Demonstrated techno-commercial skills with proven Business Development delivery, learning aptitude, and enthusiasm.
- "Hunter mindset" to uncover and generate opportunities for new business growth.
- Knowledge and experience of the METS sector and the needs/requirements of mining customers. Understanding of underground mining would be highly regarded.
- Background working in technology solutions-based organizations with an understanding of business models facilitating the sale of software and hardware products.
- Knowledge of WiFi, BLE, LoRa, UWB, and LTE technologies will be highly regarded.
- Excellent presentation, written, and pitch skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Possession of a current driver's license and passport.
EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in managing a sales team and driving performance through coaching and mentorship.
- Familiarity with the mining or manufacturing industries and established networks within these sectors would be advantageous.

- International experience would be highly valued.
