Job description

  • Able to travel interstate regularly and work with national sales team
  • ‘Hungry to do deals’ -very strong commission package with unlimited upside
  • Develop into National Sales Manager in 12-18 months 

This newly created role will drive new sales opportunities nationally and provide sales support to the national sales team. This will require you to develop and implement a sales plan involving lead generation – customer visits and product presentations, channel management as well as working with the sales team to manage and further develop the accounts. 

Our client is a national success story with significant national and international customers through direct, distributor and retail channels. They provide a diverse range of oil and lubricants for the industrial, engineering, automotive, agricultural and mining sectors.

This position will require an experienced sales achiever with an outstanding record of success delivering sales volume and revenue to a sustainable level within new accounts. As well it requires:

  • Initial key contact with customer decision-makers to identify, develop and solidify their needs and propose/deliver solutions.
  • Maintains up-to-date client information, provides reports as requested.
  • Works strategically with business partners. 
  • Pursues projects with existing/new accounts and manages projects from start to finish including formulation of a Sales Strategy for the account and coordination of necessary resources.
  • Work with the sales team & training them to drive product mix and profitability.

What You’ll Need

  • Strong track record of Business Development and customer growth across one or more sectors -industrial, engineering, automotive, agricultural and mining - preferably in oil and lubricants. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities as well as being results-oriented.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite primarily Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% with some overnight travel.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to collaborate and negotiate.
  • Positive work style, projecting self-confidence, ability to represent the business in a professional manner, taking initiative to effectively manage own activities to deliver results and working with/through others to successfully win business.
