The Role
Reporting into the Branch Manager NT and based in Darwin, the Business Development Managerwill collaborate with the Special Projects and Service delivery team, as well as the broader sales team and design managers to innovate our market offerings, aiming for profitable growth in VAE Sales in the North Territory, in alignment with our annual budgets, sales plan, and target client.
Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Entail estimating Special and Service Projects, developing superior proposals and methodologies
- Maximize sales potential from existing clients and services
- Ownership of major project sales opportunities and local NT client relationships
- Liaise with the National estimation and Sales Team / Design Managers in sales activities
- Target and compete in specific market segments for Special Projects
- Maintain your involvement in the bid/no bid process for major project sales
- Prepare accurate and timely sales estimates
- Deliver high-quality bid submissions focused on customer pain points and value
- Develop key relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers
- Innovate and differentiate VAE bid submission in the market

- Ability to understand and analyse profit & loss statements, project forecasts & project trends
