As they expand their market reach to Tasmania, they are looking for a results-driven Sales Development Manager to drive sales growth and establish a strong market presence in the state.
About the position
The Sales Development Manager will play a pivotal role in promoting our client’s products, building strong relationships within the Tasmanian aquaculture industry, and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve targets.
About your day-to-day
- Identify and connect with potential clients in the aquaculture industry.
- Establish a strong network in Tasmania's aquaculture industry to expand their market presence.
- Increase awareness by promoting their products within Tasmania's aquaculture industry.
- Share potential customer feedback with the team for ongoing improvements.
- Implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Navigate complex sales cycles, addressing various decision-makers and technical evaluations.
- Develop genuine, trust-based client relationships.
- Work closely with the overseas engineering team to ensure smooth delivery and post-sales support.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to improve sales strategies and product positioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Experience in aquaculture, fish farming practices, and knowledge of challenges and opportunities in deep-sea farming.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, especially with high-value products.
- Self-motivated with a focus on building strong, genuine connections, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets.
- Proven ability to navigate sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Outstanding networking capabilities demonstrated through building and nurturing meaningful industry connections.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to convey complex technical information effectively.
