We have an amazing opportunity for an Experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team ,this role can either be based in the Western or South Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne depending on your location.

The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. You must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business. Develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Growing and retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to their clients.
Your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to)
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to extend and develop the company`s customer and profit base.
- Canvassing for new business via direct cold calling or telephone
- Seek out new markets and canvassing for new business
- Assist in the development of marketing plans for all new and existing products
- Prepare and conduct presentations to, and negotiations with, prospective customers to achieve growth objectives.
- Develop plans to achieve new business targets as directed
- Liaise with staff, industry associations, government bodies and others to ensure new business opportunities are identified and followed through
- Prepare regular reports and analyses of new business achievements, opportunities, and targets
To be considered roe this role you will have the following
- Minimum 2 – 5 years in a Sales role, ideally within the transport industry and more specifically the local taxi-truck heavy fleet spectrum or interstate freight forwarding industry. Must be a Hunter. This position is not account managing existing customers – focus is on gaining new business
- Clear understanding of network and logistics management
- In-depth knowledge of Transport Industry and its current events
- Sound time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines and targets
- Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
You will be rewarded with a very generous Salary packing include base rate plus a car allowance.
