It achieves this by safely utilising by-products generated by industry as both a raw material replacement and as an alternative source of fuel in the cement making process. We have a new opportunity for a Business Development Specialist to join the Geocycle team. Focused on identifying and pursuing leads through current and potential customers, you are all about relationship building. Your first challenge will be to develop a deeper understanding of the prescribed waste sector and the sustainable services Cement Australia offers. We don’t expect you to bring this knowledge, however a natural ability to relate to customers and work collaboratively across the breadth of our business will set you up for success.
About the role:As a Business Development Specialist at Geocycle, you will:
- Identify and pursue Business Development opportunities through existing and new customers
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, acting as the link between customers and Geocycle technical and production staff
- Research and gather market intelligence, reporting and acting on key findings
- Achieve sales targets and KPI’s
- Play a key role in customer negotiations, winning new customers and customer complaint resolution
- Manage customer projects end to end, from initial lead to first delivery
- You have previous experience in sales, Business Development or account manager role, ideally in the waste or related industries. We are also open to recent university graduates.
- You have a natural ability to build rapport and great relationships with customers, and you aren’t afraid to get in front of them
- You are analytical, commercially aware and able to navigate the technical components of our business
- You are tenacious, driven and willing to take on new challenges
- You have a keen desire to learn
- You stay across the detail and see projects through to ensure successful results
- Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in business, science or a related field
