Business Development/Operations Manager

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a proactive and results-driven Operations and Business Development Manager to join our team and drive our operational efficiency and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate resource with the supervisors in allocation, including labour and materials, to optimize project outcomes, ensuring timely delivery of materials from external suppliers.
• Manage the estimation workload to ensure timely quoting of projects.
• Enforce and monitor quality control standards, implementing quality assurance processes and conducting regular inspections to ensure projects meet or exceed industry standards.
• Champion a culture of safety and compliance with regulations by revising and enforcing safety protocols on construction sites.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Work with supervisors to Ensure projects are completed within profit targets and identify budgetary issues for review.
• Provide regular operational performance reports to the General manager.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and introduce new entities to the business.
• Initiate new business relationships with developers and industry decision-makers to facilitate new projects across various scales.
• Manage workload via outsourced estimator and work with the admin staff on quotes, job files, and material orders.
• Forecast work with supervisors and identify new opportunities to fill gaps.
• Assist with staff growth and management as the business expands.
• Complete weekly workflow with supervisors, providing encouragement and mentoring for maximum performance.
• Assist with streamlining existing processes and procedures.
• Effective use of CRM for business development activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in construction management or a related field.(preferred)
• Experience in operations management within the construction industry.(preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
