An exciting opportunity exists to join the Primary and Community Health Speech Pathology Team in South Western Sydney Local Health District.We are currently recruiting to a permanent full time Senior Speech Pathologist (Level 3) based at Fairfield Community Health Centre.The successful applicant will be responsible for providing clinical care to children with a variety of communication difficulties. Applicants will also contribute to senior departmental duties including clinical supervision and assisting in operational management with speech pathology management.What You'll be Doing
The position is responsible for leading, guiding and managing the delivery of speech pathology services to children with communication and feeding difficulties . As a senior clinician the Speech Pathologist is responsible for overseeing and providing an efficient and effective service through the application of clinical expertise and knowledge in the management of paediatric clients with a range of communication and feeding difficulties and other complexities or specialised needs. They will also contribute to senior departmental duties including clinical supervision, leading of quality improvement activities, participation in service development and other administrative responsibilities as required.The senior speech Pathologist will contribute to the teaching, research, and clinical practice advancement of the discipline of Speech Pathology in SWSLHD.Where You'll Be Working

View our for information on how to respond to criteria and . * Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which is accredited as eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and/or students and commitment to individual and team based professional development and lifelong learning.
- Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy and time management.
- Demonstrated commitment to EBP and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation of service changes.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience and skills in assessing and managing paediatric clients (0-12 years) with a variety of communication disorders in a community health setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use multidisciplinary teamwork, and to collaborate with other services/organisations relevant to case management and service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable and/or at risk communities ensuring the provision of client/family centered care.
