Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of the Business Intelligence team, we are currently looking to appoint a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a cross functional team that works in the banking and financial sector. New challenges will lurk around every corner and you’ll be in the company of a highly skilled team solving problems collaboratively.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and maintain adequate levels of monitoring and alerting to ensure proactive actions can be taken to address or avoid critical incidents
- Continuing to drive process efficiencies to continue to improve the delivery of CoreLogic reporting to clients into the future
- Set and monitor progress against team performance targets
- Conduct and lead business requirement gathering sessions to collect in-depth firsthand business problems
- Sound stakeholders management and business engagement skills
- Develop proof of concept BI prototypes to prove solution feasibility
- Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Lead the acquisition and profiling of new data sources
- Monitor the development and maintenance of existing ETLs in Python
- Review code of the team and identify errors and provide feedback to relevant parties
- Become a subject matter expert on the company's data assets
- Coaching end users to leverage the solutions that have been developed
- Demonstration of available reporting suites to internal and external stakeholders
Job Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in a technical or business related discipline with
- Min 3 years data analytics or business intelligence experience (Essential)
- Relevant industry experience (Desirable)
Key skills:
- Intermediate to Advanced technical querying skills in MySQL, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, BigQuery (Essential)
- Intermediate to Advanced experience creating visual reporting using BI Tools like Tableau (preferable), or other tools such as Power BI (Essential)
- Exposure to structured and unstructured data technologies
- Knowledge of data warehousing and analytics (Desirable)
- Knowledge of ETL and data analysis with focus on data integrity (Desirable)
- A detailed understanding of data and data structures (Essential)
- Good understanding of Python for programming and data analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (Essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills (Essential)
- Delivery oriented and ability to meet deadlines (Essential)
- Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Essential)
- Be passionate about delivering high quality work (Essential)
- Ability to create clarity for stakeholders (technical and non-technical personnel) (Essential)
