As we embark on the next phase of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Management/Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Management/Cost Accountant will play a pivotal role in guiding the company through its next stage of growth. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the management team, providing timely and accurate financial information to support strategic and tactical decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of accounting professionals, overseeing activities such as debtors, creditors, cash flow management, BAS returns, performance reporting, asset acquisition strategies, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Develop and manage budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
- Liaise with external accountants and finance brokers on taxation and finance matters as needed.
- Utilize expertise in cost and management accounting to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain proficiency in MYOB accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum of five years of experience in cost/management accounting, preferably in textile or garment manufacturing and wholesale.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- CPA or CMA certification (preferred).
