This is an exciting opportunity for a talented candidate to join the Institutional Equities team in Sydney, Australia. This individual will be directly involved in supporting and helping to grow the CLSA Australia business. We are looking for an analytical individual with strong communication and multi-tasking abilities, excellent technical skills and a solid industry knowledge base.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive reporting and analysis with a focus on Institutional Equities revenues & service inputs
- Analyse and identify trends and growth opportunities using internal/external data and in partnering with sales, trading, corporate access and research departments
- Provide accurate and timely data required for periodic and ad hoc client reporting and due diligence requests.
- Support the local management team utilizing your analytical and project management skillset
- Co-ordinate client reviews with investment teams, ensure transparency and communication to the wider team and follow up on action items with Sales, Research and Trading.
- Co-ordinate the institutional client on-boarding process for Australia (Equities and IB)
- Develop and maintain critical relationships with a wide variety of internal front office departments including Sales & Trading, Research Heads, Corporate Access and Operations teams.
Requirements:
- Be graduate degree qualified with 3+ years' experience in financial services, ideally gained from working in the finance industry.
- Finance experience is preferred, but not essential.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrable examples of being pro-active in delivering process improvements and insights to drive bottom line outcomes.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the institutional market, superannuation and industry funds, as Well as the global investment management industry including markets, industry trends and regulatory environment
- Have proven analytical and numeracy skills with a high attention to detail.
- Be a fast learner with an ability to adapt to new systems and processes
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently on various projects as well as part of a team
- Be well organised, accurate, conscientious and resilient and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to presenting analytics at a management level
