Boom is currently seeking a highly organised and efficient Business Manager on a full-time basis to join and manage our Sale, Victoria offshore operations.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Safety
- Effectively communicates safety requirements to all employees, ensuring understanding of safety policies and consequences of breaching safety policies and practices.
- Operational Execution
- Manage the day to day operations of the depot including reviewing daily maintenance worksheets, jobs planned and staff rosters.
- Coordinate crane maintenance, supervise and assist crane mechanics and arrange materials for crane maintenance.
- Maintain sound operating, maintenance policies, plans and controls that are in line with corporate guidelines.
- Manage the development of site specific plans (financial & safety), including developing KPIs and managing site performance against KPIs.
- Revenue and Cash Controls
- Manage KPI reporting in comparison with forecast / budget, appraising the results of activities, investigating areas of concern and facilitating actions required.
The ideal candidate will have the below skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in operational management role within a large industrial services organisation.
- Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of cranes, crane maintenance and operation.
- Detailed knowledge of COMI and LEM requirements and procedures including lifting inspection and maintenance requirements.
- Knowledge of crane regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Strong safety drive with demonstrated skills in delivering safety initiatives.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Financial/business acumen.
