Job Description
As the Business Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the performance of the business unit and each Team Leader meets benchmarks for state RTW outcomes.
- Implement strategies to proactively manage RTW performance in order to meet state benchmarks.
- Lead, supervise and coach team so that they undertake work in accordance with divisional priorities, policies and processes.
- Embed Managing for Excellence principles within business of regular progress reviews, annual performance appraisals and individuals meeting professional development requirements.
- Engage and lead direct reports to deliver their individual and team KPIs and develop and implement strategies to address areas of underperformance.
- Manage and monitor team resourcing and portfolios at business unit level.
- Oversee recruitment and selection and on boarding of new team members.
- Prepare business unit budget for Operations Manager (OM).
- Manage expenditure within budget and in accordance with delegations.
- Provide leadership and direction to Senior Consultants in order to meet financial performance expectations as per budget.
- Oversee and manage invoicing within the business unit ensuring sufficient documentation is completed and all billing is captured.
- Business unit to meet WorkCover accreditation requirements.
- Quality KPI to be met at business unit level.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Quality Management System (QMS) by performing all tasks in accordance with Kairros’ QMS and actively supporting all employees to do this.
- Regularly review risks (internal and external) including legislative changes, to support business planning and response.
- Perform all work in accordance with the HWCA National Consistency Framework and regulatory requirements.
- Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and encourage and foster this focus organisation wide.
- Actively provide feedback about the performance of the quality management system to Kairros’ Quality Management Representative.
- Routinely survey the internal and external environment to identify threats and opportunities to the business.
- Implement systems and processes to facilitate knowledge management and retention relevant to your role and the business areas you are responsible for.
- Undertake specific services assessments including worksite, functional, ergonomic, equipment, home and job analysis as required.
- Conduct initial assessments, identify RTW barriers and design/implement/monitor programs that assist injured employees return to the workforce as required.
- Develop and implement strategies to progress files and achieve high RTW rates with minimum case costs.
- Liaise with insurers, medical practitioners, employers and workers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties.
- Complete accurate case notes which reflect actions undertaken and any recommendations to achieve the RTW goal.
Qualifications

- The ability to engage with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients and stakeholders in their recovery and return to work journey
- A passion for empowering people to achieve their health and wellness goals
- A willingness to travel (Current Vehicle and Drivers Licence needed)
- Qualifications and relevant registration in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling or Social Work
- Determination to consistently provide a high level of customer service
- Current or able to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
