About the job
Due to a continued period of company growth we are looking for a Business operations manager. As Business operations manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our organisation, ensuring that all services are provided efficiently and effectively. The role requires someone who has excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage our team. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the Akkadians' operations and overall performance.
Responsibilities:
BUSINESS PLANNING
- In consultation with the Managing Director, determination of an operations plan for (1-3) years.
- Development of staff competencies in line with the operations plan.
- Develop and maintain risk management systems of the practice, including the use of registers and risk mitigation factors.
STAFF MANAGEMENT
- Recruitment, induction, and training of administration and nursing staff.
- Attraction and hiring of new healthcare professionals to the organisation.
- Go to person for staff and doctors.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
- Overall responsibility for the preparation of financial records and invoices.
- Preparation of payroll.
- Responsible for customer refunds.
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the organisation's operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor quality control programs to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Overseeing the provision of IT services, maintenance, Information Recovery Plan and asset registers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or you are an experienced practice manager.
- At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare operations management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare (Medicare) regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This is a full time position with a competitive salary package. The Business Operations Manager will report to the Managing Director and will work closely with Akkadian Health admin and medical teams.
