About the Role

Reporting to General Manager Fresh & Clean, the Operations Manager / Business Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day service delivery and grow your business revenue at their branch and the overall financial success of their region.

Previous experience leading a team of up to 30 and having full responsibility for management of the P&L, business growth, safety and people management is essential. This is a role that is offers a rewarding level of autonomy within established guidelines and needs your well-rounded general management skills to be successful.

This is a pivotal role in the overall success of the Fresh & Clean business and key accountabilities include:

  • Cost control and financial management in line with annual budget.
  • Working closely with sales and business development to ensure the growth of the business is achieved by seamless onboarding of new customers as well as efficient implementation of changes at existing customer sites is achieved at all times.
  • In partnership with the Customer Experience Manager overseeing incoming customer queries and complaints to assess and diagnose trends in service failure, to develop long term sustainable solutions.
  • Day to day management of all staff in branch including recruitment, performance management, coaching and motivating the team to support consistent customer service excellence.
  • Partnering with support departments to implement procedure or product changes; and
  • Ensuring that 100% compliance to legislation and internal policies and procedures is achieved by all staff under management.
  • Responsible for ensuring guidelines of WHS Management / Housekeeping / 5S are followed.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience in the same area
  • Valid drivers’ license 
  • 5+ years proven, successful leadership of a customer service team.
