The opportunity

  • Partner with business units stakeholders to identify & implement Business Improvement initiatives and help support QBE Australia’s Executives to formulate & drive Operational Strategy.

Your new role
As a Business Optimisation Manager, you will play a pivotal role partnering with our Business Value Stream stakeholders and supporting the team in its modernisation journey. You will
  • Support alignment discussions on priorities and pipeline of work·
  • Partner with business units’ stakeholders to identify & implement process simplification initiatives.
  • Lead projects/initiatives by demonstrating our QBE values and core capabilities on Process Re-Engineering, Continuous Improvement and Process Governance Influence project stakeholders on process simplification through practical understanding of QBE’s framework.
  • Discover, analyse, measure and document current and future state processes to understand root causes of issues.
  • Initiate, facilitate and recommend improvements creatively solving problems and considering innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring data-driven recommendations analysing customer and operational data and measuring the impact of recommended changes
About you
As the successful candidate, you bring unique insights and perspective to redesign processes for improved customer and operational outcomes. You can creatively solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
You:
  • Ideally experience working in a global organisation with locations across different time zones.
  • Experience with managing an outsourced offshore vendor, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Thrive on understanding and solving complex customer and business problems and can think outside the box to find creative solutions to problems.
  • Are curious with excellent analytical skills and a high attention to detail which allows you to be able to understand end-to-end business processes and come up with ideas for improvement.
  • Have solid experience in the development of objectives, strategies and plans to improve customer satisfaction!
  • Experience in large Insurance operations process & successful business process re-engineering
  • Exposure to business process re-engineering, CI Culture build-out, commercial analysis, development & monitoring of SLAs and developing & executing business transformation
  • Extensive knowledge and applied Lean & Six Sigma skills.
  • Extensive experience in a Business Improvement role leading and managing Business Improvement initiatives (you may bring this experience from different industries or sectors and if so we recognise the unique perspective you’ll bring with this)
  • Are passionate about business process re-engineering, process analysis, customer continuous improvement and efficiency and how you’ve used these skills to drive improved outcomes.
  • Could get up to speed quickly and use your love of learning and curiosity to understand problems and processes efficiently.
