Job description

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Business Performance Analystwill compile information from systems and from the business, in order to deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis to inform decision making. You will be a business partner to the operations team to support understanding of financial concepts and drive financial performance. You will also be involved in preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, financial statements, acquittals and Q&A review of financial and non-financial reporting.

You enjoy taking on new challenges and are eager to grow and develop your skill set, while also displaying a results orientated approach to your work.

This is a permanent full-time position, with flexible, hybrid working arrangements - work from home and in office.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Review of financial and non-financial data to ensure the accuracy of information reported to stakeholders and to ensure compliance;
  • Analysis of financial and non-financial data to gain insight into the financial performance of the organisation;
  • Ensure financial concepts are understood by stakeholders and provide insight into financial performance and what drives it;
  • Scheduled and adhoc reporting to stakeholders including monthly reporting, statutory accounts, acquittals, and other specific insights on the business to inform decision making;
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business cases in collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Develop relationships with facility managers and other key members of the operations team, and with other internal departments;
  • Support the Financial Controller and senior management with coordinating and project managing the overall planning cycles with SVCS head office and other business stakeholders

Things that work for us:

  • Degree or equivalent in business/finance related discipline preferred
  • Accounting qualification (CPA/CA/CIMA) is essential
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar or related role
  • High level analytical skills and experience compiling reports that present analysis simply and effectively
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management would be an advantage
  • Continuous improvement focus
  • High level problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box
  • Exceptional attention to detail
