I am currently partnering with a well-known private sector organisation currently going through significant growth. The Business Process Analyst (BPA) is a senior member of the Corporate Services function responsible for evaluating, optimising and operationalising Business Processes. This is a permanent position based in Brisbane's CBD.
As the Business Process Analyst you will partner cross-functionally to ensure system, process and procedures are mapped and known throughout the organisation, while identifying areas for optimisation and partnering with functions to effect change.
About the role
- Own and lead frameworks, systems and tools for Business Analysis functions;
- Analyse current Business Processes, workflows and procedures and ensure appropriate documentation;
- Create process documentation and guidelines, including standard operating procedures and workflow diagrams;
- Provide training, support and escalation to the business on processes;
- Act as SME enterprise-wide on Business Processes;
- Lead and drive Business Process optimisation, implementation and change across the organisation;
- Conduct thorough analysis and process mapping to identify obstacles, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities;
- Develop and implement optimised processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction;
- Implement relevant processes and technologies to optimise internal operations;
- Implement monitoring and reporting on Business Processes;
- Develop and deliver formal presentations and reports as required;
- Lead creation and presentation of business cases for investment in process optimisation and change;
- Act as lead for engagement with external stakeholders for responsible functions;
- Act as a senior member of Corporate Services function, demonstrating leadership values and building team capability; and
- Partner with the business and work cross-functionally to build trust and understanding.
About You
- A bachelor's degree in business or related field is required with is desirable;
- Formal qualifications in a Business Analysis discipline such as IIBA, CBPA, CMC, PMI, or similar is required;
- Significant Business Analysis experience with both commercial & technical experience delivering enterprise solutions;
- Senior experience working cross-functionally and delivering results;
- Experience with senior stakeholder management and able to engage at senior levels, including Board and ELT;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident and capable to present to large groups and across a variety of stakeholders; and
- Experience in not-for-profit or government environments is desirable.

- Problem Solving: The skill to identify challenges and think of practical solutions that benefit the organisation;
- Participate in development, updating and monitoring of annual budget plans to ensure appropriate resource allocation.
- Effectively manage change across the business.
