As a Business Relationship Specialist specializing in Equipment Rentals, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless interactions between our company and our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain strong relationships with customers who utilize our equipment rental services. A critical aspect of your role will be the management of a portfolio of existing customers to maximise sales outcomes across the organisation. This role requires a combination of excellent communication skills, a solid understanding of equipment functionalities, the ability to proactively identify and address customer needs and to engage a portfolio of existing clients to maximise sales activity and support the functions of the broader Rental Team.
About the Role:
You will be working with a professional but fun team in a customer centric environment and your duties will include:
• Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular communication and proactive engagement.
• Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, identify opportunities to maximise sales to the existing customer base, address inquiries providing customer centric communication and follow up, and ensure that customer relationships are maximised resulting in increased business opportunities.
• Handle incoming hire requests and assist clients with their hire needs. This includes the completion of quotations and the associated follow up work as required adhering to the always close the loop mantra.
• Dealing with, maintaining, and developing existing and new customer and supplier relationships
• Manage a portfolio of existing clients to strengthen customer engagement and identify and explore growth opportunities within existing accounts
• Identify opportunities for upselling additional equipment or services based on customer needs, projected future work and usage patterns.
• Maintain a consistent customer follow up schedule and sales pipeline to ensure that follow up is timely and corelates to the customers future equipment usage needs.
• Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target market.
• Work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of equipment.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to address client needs and resolve any issues.
• Provide regular updates on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
Your experience
• Proven experience in sales and Customer Account Management preferably in equipment hire or a related industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to form strong and productive client relationships.
• Ability to understand and articulate technical details of equipment to customers.
• Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
