Business Resilience Manager

About the role
This highly sought after role in the national Business Resilience team will work with teams across our business and operations in NSW to further evolve our broader resilience capability. You’ll be a key influencer and collaborator across the region for emergency, crisis and business continuity management, advising and equipping teams with the skills and tools to plan and prepare for anything. Your desire to continually learn, challenge, and adapt will be key to success in this role.
Day-to-day, you will:

• Lead the Business Resilience practice in NSW and be the Subject Matter Expert for resilience, including business continuity, emergency and crisis management.
• Lead a program of continuous improvement activities, including delivering engaging, challenging and varied exercises and training, to further enhance capability at all levels of response: operational, tactical and strategic
• Proactively guide and inform teams across the business as they continue to develop operational excellence in their Business Resilience practice.
• Collaborate with other functions, such as Technology and Cyber teams, so they can deliver Business Resilience-related activities and practices.
• Be a part of the Risk conversation to understand and check we have the plans and capability to respond to current and emerging threats.
• Maintain documentation and training materials to support the development of response management plans and procedures.
• Work with stakeholders across all areas of the business and become the trusted advisor for anything relating to Business Resilience.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

• Extensive experience gained from working in a similar Business Resilience, crisis/emergency management or business continuity role.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting a range of exercises (e.g. field, functional and desktop)
• Ability to influence and negotiate with others while also being able to develop trust and build rapport.
• Ability to think strategically with strong planning and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated experience in response management including planning and coordination in operational and corporate environments across a variety of levels (i.e. strategic, operational etc).
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to translate complex information into easily understandable terms.
• Strong presentation and training skills.
• Demonstrate resilience in their work with the ability to work well in a fast paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
