About the team:

The Risk, Resilience and Privacy Team within Service NSW brings focus and co-ordination to:
*Risk and compliance management
*Business continuity management
*Audit and review action monitoring
*Privacy risk management
*Work, health and safety risk management
About the role
SNSW has a dedicated team to drive risk management culture and capability throughout the agency. We are currently looking for a Senior Advisor with strong expertise in Business Continuity management to join the team.
You will be expected to take a "fresh eyes" approach to your role, bringing a commitment to the principles of good governance, along with the creativity and open-mindedness to embed these principles in ways that supports Service NSW.
On a day-to-day basis you will contribute to the management and delivery of your team to support the organisation in Business Continuity and make informed risk-based decisions. This role will enhance and redesign the Business Continuity frameworks, tools, templates, processes, and exercises to achieve improved outcomes. You will be responsible for driving strategic priorities and transformation across the agency to improve awareness, capability, and cultural uplift of Business Continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of a team in Business Continuity, risk, compliance, and governance and deliver to outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client and team relationships at all levels and support the building of the Business Continuity and risk culture of the business.
  • Support the transformation of Business Continuity programs across SNSW to drive capability uplift and maturity.
  • Provide expert advice and information to inform decision making and mitigate risks to embed SNSW's Business Continuity plans and strategic direction.
  • Lead and manage projects to support the implementation and delivery of Business Continuity, Risk and compliance programs and projects to achieve outcomes.
  • Respond to audits and reviews on Business Continuity related actions.
  • Report to the Executive and Committees on risks, key insights and programs of work.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the discipline of business contintuity or similar roles.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills - the candidate should demonstrate ability to consult, facilitate and adapt engagement approach to cater to diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic projects, procurement activities, negotiate outcomes and manage delivery outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to retrieve, report and analyse data to provide risk insights and recommendations to inform decision making and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, support and mentor staff in risk or compliance and identify opportunities to leverage teams to solve problems.
