About the Role
As the newest Manager in our firm, you'll play a crucial role in blending high-quality accounting and taxation services with effective team coordination and management. This is a chance to make your mark in a role that perfectly marries technical proficiency with people management.

- Management of accounting, taxation and advisory tasks across a variety of industries, overseeing technical outcomes, excellence in the quality of output and meeting client expectations.

The Specifics
This is a permanent full-time role within our Subiaco office, with flexible arrangements to support your work-life balance.
As a Business Services Team Leader you will work directly with a Senior Client Manager, ensuring compliance tasks and tax advice is carried out to a high standard, overseeing quality of output and timeliness of the team.
Duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Review and management of the preparation of all compliance tasks, such as financial reports, tax returns, activity statements, fringe benefits tax returns, etc.
- Management of annual tax planning commitments, together with review of tax planning calculations and provision of specialised tax optimisation advice for clients.
- Review and management of advisory reports in relation to clients’ business performance, results and strategic planning, including provision of commentary on key advisory matters identified.
- Assisting with the provision of specialised tax, business and financial advice to clients, and answering ad hoc queries as required.
- Effectively communicating both written and verbal guidance on complex accounting, taxation, and business matters.
- Providing mentorship, coaching, and leadership to our junior team members.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in tax and Business services roles.
- An additional 2+ years of experience as a manager or team leader, showcasing your ability to effectively lead and develop a team.
- Proven track record in workflow management and adhering to client deadlines.
- Strong technical knowledge in accounting and taxation, with CPA, CA, or equivalent qualifications highly regarded.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to adhere and oversee quality expectations of the firm’s practices and processes.
- The ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to team members.
- Ability to service a client base across a variety of industries and engagement services.
- Proficiency in using various accounting software, with a particular emphasis on Xero.
- A team player with good communication skills, fostering a positive team environment.
