With a highly motivated team committed to the growth and development of our business, we now have an excellent opportunity for a Business Services Senior Accountant to join our firm.
We are seeking a Business Services Senior Accountant with a minimum of 4 years experience in a Business Services role in a public practice. Ideally applicants will have completed their CA/CPA qualification.
When you commence in this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies and trusts, ranging from start-up businesses through to large multi-structure groups
- Utilising a range of accounting software including Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
- Assisting in managing a portfolio of clients and providing value added services
- Assisting with management of workflow for the team including developing and supporting junior team members and reviewing their work
- Undertaking business advisory work, financial modelling, complex tax advice, succession planning, asset sales and acquisitions
- Liaising with clients, managers and partners regarding queries and advice
- Attending to other business-related matters for clients including preparation of BAS, IAS, fringe benefits tax, tax planning, payroll assistance and any other tax or Business Services related matters
- Advising clients on business operations, regulatory matters, restructures and accounting system implementation
- Identifying areas for business / wealth improvement and additional work opportunities among current clients
- Developing strong relationships with clients and seeking to further these relationships through quality product delivery
- Assisting in team training and mentoring with responsibilities to help grow the team’s knowledge and contribute to the business as a whole

With direction and support from your Manager/Partner, you will be required to work both independently and as part of a team to complete work assignments. Office hours are 8.30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.
