SalaryWe are a growing chartered accounting firm in the Sydney CBD with a diverse range of clients, mainly start-ups and non-profits.
As a supervisor accountant you will be joining a growing firm servicing a client base, increasing referral business and new and emerging industries. We are located in the Sydney CBD and provides business consultancy, taxation, and accounting services.
About the role (including but not limited to these responsibilities)
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and superfunds
- BAS/IAS preparation and lodgement
- Tax planning and preparing tax positions
- Establishing and maintaining positive client relationships
- Identifying and resolving complex accounting and tax issues
- Assisting the director to provide solutions and advice to improve processes and contribute to the generation of new ideas for clients
- Mentoring and developing junior team members
About you (the ideal candidate will bring)
- 4 years experience in public practice or more
- Completed relevant university degree in either Accounting or Commerce
- Excellent communication and proven relationship building skills
- Solid work ethic
- Willingness to learn with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong computing, communication and excel skills
- Xero, FYI Docs, Ignition, CAS 360 and BGL 360 experience highly regarded
