The Role:
As the Business Technology Officer, you will be the primary conduit between ICT and internal business stakeholders to maximise the benefits of currently available and prospective technology systems. You will become the go-to person for internal stakeholders to better understand the tools at their disposal or undertake initial engagements with potential improvements involving IT processes, systems, and platforms. Reporting to the Manager of Architecture and Business Solutions, you will be responsible for proactively maintaining the currency and integrity of Information Asset Registers, champion change and adoption of the M365 product stack and build established relationships across the agency to be a central coordinator for projects where third-parties or contractor resources are involved.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

• Strong generalist ICT capability, with significant existing abilities across a broad information technology capability model, and ability to efficiently learn and apply new skills across this domain.
• Problem and business case analysis capabilities incorporating people, process, technology, and data considerations, including the ability to efficiently prepare and succinctly convey critical information that drives a call to action involving ICT and business area partnerships
• Experience in technical Product Management and / or Administration, and hands-on configuration experience involving advanced capabilities within the M365 suite (especially SharePoint, and ideally Power Apps / Power Platform).
• Experience working within a complex organisation to provide analysis and ICT consultancy services, advice and support, particularly in relation to the alignment of business needs with technological capability
• Able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels including proven ability to: consult, liaise and influence; develop and maintain effective networks and operational relationships; present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to a broad range of people; negotiate and manage conflict with tact and diplomacy.

Desirable Qualification:
Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
ASO6 - $97,022 – 102,626 per annum + Superannuation
