C#, .Net Core, Sql Server Back-End Software Engineer (Mining)

An Australian company creating & supplying innovative industrial technology to the global mining sector has an opportunity for an energetic, talented and committed C#, .Net Core, SQL ServerSoftware Engineer to join their product development group in a career position based in their Brisbane inner city office.

Working within a small team, you'll be focused on enhancing and maintaining their back-end service and data storage/data warehouse product which utilises SQL Server, Entity Framework & .Net Core as well as maintaining reporting and data analytics applications. In future it will be moved to Azure Data Warehouse. This role relies on exceptional communication both from within the team and with customers. An interest to learn the domain is essential to develop the data models and algorithms that form the core of the product.
Essential Skills:

• Strong proficiency in C#.NET and .NET Core development.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server, Transact SQL and database management.
• Proven experience with Back-end Software Engineering, preferably working on web applications.
• Experience with Azure VM, Azure SQL, and cloud-based development.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core for data access.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Software Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years work experience as a Back-end Software Engineer.

Desirable Skills:

• Proficiency in Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
• Familiarity with Jira Work Management for task tracking and project management.
