Murrays Coaches are looking for a motivated individual to join our IT team in a flexible role as full-stack .Net Developer.
As a developer you will work with a small, distributed development team on maintenance tasks, BAU and other small projects. You will also support the IT team by providing frontline technical and administrative support to staff and troubleshooting minor issues.
In this position you will:
- Work with the development team on small and large projects
- Undertake small projects independently
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into specifications
- Assist with routine web development and content creation
- Work with Azure DevOps
- Answer notes, phone calls and emails from staff
- Provide a basic level of technical support to staff for software and hardware related problems
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor IT issues
- Assist the IT team with server-side support
- Complete administrative level support duties (e.g. account resets)
Desired skills:
- c# .net,.net core Development
- html5, css, javascript
- ASP.NET razor pages, MVC and Webforms
- Good knowledge of T-SQL
- Umbraco/CMS content creation
- Basic knowledge of web and code optimisation, including SEO, or using Resharper to write efficient code
- Solid understanding of common software development standards, processes and methodologies
- Confidence in dealing with both the latest Microsoft technologies and supporting legacy applications.
- Azure exposure

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven experience of talking to stakeholders from non-technical backgrounds
- If not based in Canberra, must be prepared to travel once a month to attend face to face team meetings (travel expenses covered).
- Capability to work on small tasks without supervision
- Capability to work effectively within a distributed team
- Has proven continuity in their professional life, as opposed to "lots of qualifications"
- You are typically an outgoing person and happy to communicate with people, yet you keep it short and concise
