The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest grade copper mine.
The CSA Mine is located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs 500 people including contractors.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Cablebolter Operator to join our mining team.
As a Cablebolter Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of our underground mining operations. Your primary responsibility will be operating the cablebolting equipment to install support cables in underground mine structures. This role demands precision, a strong understanding of mining operations, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cablebolting machinery to install support cables in underground mine environments.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with the mining team to achieve operational targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, including cablebolting activities and equipment maintenance.
- Previous experience as a Cablebolter Operator in an underground mining environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cablebolting machinery and techniques.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with challenging conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Relevant certifications and training in underground mining operations.
This is a 7/7 roster, and commute options include residential or DIDO.
