As a Cadet you will form part of a highly motivated and experienced team, having exposure to some of the best survey professionals in the industry while you study. As part of the role you will develop the skills to assist with development mining, setouts and production drill mark-ups; installation and maintenance of the mine survey control network; providing void surveys using Drones and Optech/CALS survey equipment; producing end of month survey reports for management and the measuring and calculation of mine volumes and surface stockpiles. This role will be on a 5/2; 4/3 roster and will report into the Lead Mine Surveyor.
The person we are looking for will have to meet the below requirements:
- Have a passion for Survey and the drive to undertake part-time tertiary study, whilst working full-time
- Good understanding of Geometry and Earth Sciences
- Enjoy Working both indoors and outdoors
- Possess a strong work ethic and have an eye for detail
- Be motivated to take on new challenges and responsibilities
- Have strong communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Computer literacy with proven mathematical ability
- Drivers License
- Have completed year 12 Be highly self-motivated with good attention to detail, excellent communication, sound problem solving skills, leadership qualities and highly effective time management.
