About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Café Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. You must be available to work Monday to Friday school hours. Due to the nature of school operations, a degree of flexibility is required to meet event requirements outside this spread of hours.
Duties include:
- Assisting with basic, general food preparation for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and catered events.
- Serving Café food items with fast, friendly and respectful service to customers throughout busy periods.
- Maintaining a clean kitchen and surrounding areas.
- Adhering to the Food Safety Plan and general safety practices.
- Ensuring that the work environment and stations are clean and sanitized.

About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A valid Queensland Working with Children Check Positive Paid Employee Notice.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Commitment to customer service excellence.
- Interpersonal skills that encourage a welcoming atmosphere and helpful nature.
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work quickly, whilst remaining calm and courteous under pressure.
- Ability to be flexible and take on tasks as required.
- Previous experience in a similar role in a school environment, highly regarded but not essential.
- Food Safety Certificate desirable but not essential, however required to complete prior to start.
- Barista experience not essential, we can train you!
