Ashfield Baptist Homes is a values-based not-for-profit Aged Care organisation operated by Ashfield Baptist Church. Our purpose is to provide client-focused Aged Care based on Christian principles for people in the Inner West of Sydney.
About the role:
We are looking for a part-time Cafe Attendant in our onsite cafe who is responsible for assisting to oversee the day-to-day running of the cafe so that quality food and drinks are delivered, a customer-focused service is provided, and budget is met.
Available Shifts:
Wednesday to Saturday 08.30 am - 15.30 pm
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Experience in menu design, food preparation, and serving, preferably in a cafe
- Supervisory experience in a café environment
- Knowledge of infection control, safe food handling/food hygiene practices
- Knowledge of relevant WH&S requirements and safe work practices
- Cash handling experience
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Desirable skills:
- Experience as a barista
- Experience working in an Aged Care setting
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Aged Care Quality Standards
