Red Square Cafe has been operating on the Eastern Shore for the past 15 years. We are a family-owned business with a fun, casual dining menu and a fast-paced takeaway section. We trade 7 days a week from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. We have recently opened our second location in Glenorchy in the Spotlight shopping center. Qualifications & experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding service
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Strong coffee skills are an advantage
Tasks & responsibilities
- Oversee daily front of house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service
- Train, supervise, and motivate front of house staff to maintain high performance and morale
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events
- Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed timely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment for customers and staff
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and communication
- Implement and uphold health and safety standards
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with regular customers and the local community
