Copo Café, located in Drummoyne, NSW, 2047, is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background and be creative and passionate about the role.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and creatively present meals for daily service and special events.
- Develop recipes and menus, considering seasonal ingredient availability, anticipated customer volume, portion sizes, and menu pricing.
- Oversee and manage the tasks of the kitchen staff.
- Selects high-quality ingredients to maximise the flavour of dishes.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels & ensure the received products meet order specifications and standards.
- Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with established health and safety standards.
- Train kitchen staff in techniques for food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
- Calculate the costs of new menu items and conduct trials to create innovative specialities that attract diners to the restaurant.
Qualification & Experience:
- Relevant AQF qualification in Commercial Cookery and Hospitality
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a busy hotel, café, or restaurant

Also, please note that this is a permanent full-time position. Therefore, if you hold a Temporary visa, you must have unlimited work entitlements.
