The Cafe Staff are a vital part of the Hospitality team at Hosanna Farmstay. This role is essential as it ensures that the food and retail sales experience of Hosanna Farmstay operates at the highest level of excellence. The Cafe Staff ensures that the store is presented as a clean, warm and inviting environment in alignment with the overall Hosanna brand.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Clean and Safe Environment
- Ensuring the customer facing and staff environments are maintained in a clean and tidy manner, ensuring optimum sales opportunities
- Attending to and/or reporting safety concerns as they arise
- Developing systems and checklists and ensuring they are carried out
- Coffee Cart & Café Food
- Taking orders and preparing coffee for sale
- Working with in-house cook to transport and display food from commercial kitchen
- Display and storage of café food according to food safety standards
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Qualifications:
- High School completion (year 12)
- Trade or tertiary related qualifications preferable, but not essential
- Food Handling Certificate (preferable)
Experience:
- Barista & food handling experience essential
- Ideally some experience in retail management or a similar role
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
Skills:
- Must hold and maintain a current valid drivers licence
- Ability to learn new technology systems such as POS systems, online ordering systems, etc
- Proficient in the use of communication technologies such as email and messaging apps (you will be required to have a mobile phone with a suitable data plan for being able to receive messages via our internal messaging app).
