Job Description:

Tarte Beach House is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing a fast-paced cafe environment and possess excellent leadership skills. Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of the cafe.
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
• Supervise and support staff during service periods, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
• Help to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
• Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff members.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items
• Perform opening and closing duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced cafe environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Barista experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Positive attitude and a passion for hospitality.
