SAPOL Call Centre Consultants provide streamlined access to police services via the 131444 Police Assistance Line, 1800 333 000 Crime Stoppers, and Triple Zero emergency line.
About the Role
Working as part of the Communications Group, the Call Centre Consultant receives telephone requests for police attendance and other assistance. With a strong focus on providing effective customer service resolution, calls are processed to ensure patrols are tasked in an appropriate and timely manner. The Call Centre Consultant also provides a key service to internal and external customers by providing information and taking reports including Crime Occurrences and Missing Persons Reports (both relative to set criteria). The range of services provided by the Call Centre is being continually reviewed and expanded.

About our selection process:
When it comes to choosing the right candidates, we follow a comprehensive selection process which consists of:
- Application screening
- Literacy & typing assessment
- Online psychometric assessment
- Panel interview
- Probity checks & referee checks
- Medical examination (sight&hearing)
- Review decision & approval
Shortlisted applicants will need to be available to attend Police Headquarters for literacy and typing assessment, an interview, and medical examination.
Successful applicants must be available to participate in a full time five week training course commencing Monday 22 July until Friday 23 August 2024 and must also be available to attend an additional:
10 x 8hr shifts between 24 August and 6 September
The SAPOL Call Centre is operational 24 hours 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays. In addition to base salary, shift penalties will be paid in accordance with the award where appropriate. Please note casual positions attract a 25% loading in lieu of annual and sick leave.

Salary: ASO3 $66,590 - $70,968 per annum
If successful, training will be paid for the duration of the course and while training
you will be earning ASO2 salary of $29.57 per hour ($57,842 - $62,221 per annum).
