    • RN/M2C - Clinical Nurse/Midwife LV2 – $84,870 to $107,279 p.a
    • AHP2 - Allied Health Professional L2 - $86,950 to $100,729 p.a
  • Employment – Full time – Term Contract (up until Feb 2025)

The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia.  We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. 

Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

About Us

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs. CAMHS provides services to: infants / children / young people up to 18 (16 in some areas) for community, state-wide and hospital-based services / perinatal women.

The CAMHSEating Disorder Service accepts referrals for young people who have been diagnosed with an Eating Disorder. CAMHS aims to improve and support the health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and families experiencing Eating Disorders and throughout their recovery.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists within CAMHS - Eating Disorder Service to join us as a Clinical Nurse (RN2C) or a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist (AHP2)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct mental health care for children and adolescents with Eating Disorders.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and organizations to ensure optimal consumer care through assessment, education, counselling, and group work activities.
  • Lead quality improvement activities and contribute to policy development within the practice setting.

The successful applicant would be required to work at both the Women's and Children's Hospital and CAMHS in Elizabeth.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to relate to and work alongside diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for positive mental health outcomes and fostering productive relationships.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, flexibility, and creativity.
  • Commitment to providing quality client-centered service.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, negotiation, conflict management, and leadership.
  • Capacity to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in conducting mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents with Eating Disorders or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
