Qualifications & experience
- Personal Care experience preferred (sling and hoist, manual handling)
- Medication administration experience preferred (including insulin administration)
- Possess currently: NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children's Check, Police Check (less then 1 year old), NDIS Workers Orientation Module, First Aid and CPR cert, Drivers License, and a Registered Vehicle
- Experience and ability to develop a positive relationship with participants and support their Individual Support Plan
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Tasks & responsibilities
- Following the participant's care plan, supporting participant's to live independently in their own homes and in the community
- Assisting with medications and other healthcare-related needs within your scope of work
- Assisting participants in attending their appointments
- Assisting with personal care duties including sling and hoist operation, toileting assistance, mealtime assistance, personal hygiene assistance
- Supporting participants to maintain their home
- Completing participant shift notes, and incident reporting correctly via a CRM app
- Establish professional rapport and collaborate effectively with participants and families to reach their personal and NDIS goals
