There’s been a lot of exciting developments at Andrews Meat Industries and we need another brain and pair of hands to take our domestic foodservice division to the next level. Working closely with our tight-knit commercial team, you will be collaborating with some of Australia’s best-known chefs and venues.At its core, this role is a strategic commercial position. While you will work collaboratively to develop projects such as digital media campaigns, customer-centric initiatives and event planning and delivery, as a procedural practice you will also be required to report back to the team on the outcomes and ROI of the individual campaigns in order to contribute to the wider development of the Andrews Meat business and team.Best of all, since the role is newly-created, there is a lot of scope to make the role your own and deep-dive into your particular brand of creativity and drive to see where it can take you. You will also be part of a strong, dedicated team of 250+ that cares a lot about each other, what they do and who they service. The RoleReporting to the Head of Communications, this is suited to a communications or marketing professional at an early-to-mid level. You will work closely with people all across Andrews Meat Industries as well as the wider business group, foodservice and agricultural industries. The role will focus on driving marketing campaigns and initiatives, both commercial and non-commercial (such as charity partnerships) to drive positive relations with and sales for our Foodservice division. It requires someone with a strong, strategic mindset; an ability to engage positively with myriad stakeholders; a focus on budget and ROI; and a strong sense of timing and forward thinking.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Marketing campaigns: working with the Head of Communications in conjunction with the teams to strategise, create and drive exciting campaigns to support sales, celebrate our customers and enhance our customers’ experiences when dealing with us. Collaborate: to ensure campaign success, you will be comfortable working closely at all times with myriad people. There are several teams internally and externally that need to be worked with in order to make sure your campaigns run smoothly, and as you build relationships you will become a trusted point of call to support our customers and partners in their marketing activities using Andrews Meat brands. Reporting: formally report on campaign results as a procedural practice including quantitative and qualitative data to help drive better performance and create better practices through the business. Social media: collecting and collating content targeting our clientele, including working with the clientele to get the content. Out of hours activities and travel: since you will be involved in the planning and execution of campaigns and events, some of which may be held interstate or overseas, from time to time you’ll be asked to attend exclusive events – often working with renowned chefs - outside of business hours that you will have helped to bring to life.What we are looking for?We’re looking for a strategic thinker with creative acumen who’s not afraid to think outside the norm. Being a firm believer in putting your best foot forward is a must, and a love of meat will definitely help (we talk about food a lot here). This role is suited for a candidate who has initiative, discipline and can take accountability. A degree or certificate in communications, business, agriculture or food-related disciplines is required, alongside a few other key requirements. Excellent written and spoken English. As a role strongly dependent on cohesive messaging and maintaining relationships, great English skills is a key requirement of the role. Candidates with prior copywriting and / or public speaking experience will be favourably considered. The selected candidate will be mentored in writing and presentation style and form as appropriate by the Head of Communications.Strategic commercial acumenThe strategic aspect cannot be understated – a clever shoot-from-the-hip approach to your responsibilities is not what we’re necessarily after here. As well as providing commercial return, the insight gained from your campaigns will help us serve a bigger purpose in continually improving our business and creating everyday efficiencies for the multitude of teams in our operations. Professionally literate computer skillsCandidates are expected to have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, the internet and general computer use, while competency in Adobe Creative Cloud and / or Affinity will be highly regarded. Upon employment, the selected candidate will be learning many different digital software platforms all at the same time, and will expected to be quickly able to learn and adapt to using them.C class driver’s licence Any multi-lingual ability, while not necessary, will also be highly regarded.
