Campus Administration Officer

- Part time (22.8 hours per week)
- Fixed Term until December 2024
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Administrator to join the Sydney Campus to provide administrative and operational support related to facilities and activities. The position will deliver a high level customer service to internal and external clients to effectively promote a professional image for the Sydney campus.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Answer all inbound phone calls and email enquiries.
- Conduct campus tours and assist in planning internal events.
- Provide assistance in the student enrolment process and maintain records for students and staff at the Campus.
- Organise business travel and financial transactions for staff.
- Prepare and collate invoices and purchase orders.
- Organise and maintain room bookings and hire agreements for campus facilities and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant Degree or Diploma ideally in Administration.
- Extensive experience in a similar position with an emphasis on coordination of office functions.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills in person and over the phone and the ability to deal confidentially with sensitive issues.
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with high level keyboard / typing skills and the ability to learn Institute specific software packages like Finance 1 and SMS
- The ability to liaise effectively with industry contacts, government and community groups on behalf of the Manager to ensure that appropriate levels of communication are maintained.
- Ability to prioritise workload and to work independently to meet agreed deadlines.
- Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to initiate and coordinate various administrative processes.
