About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CapEx (Capital Expenditure) Project Manager for an 18-month contract with the possible extension of a further 12 months. The CapEx Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the planning, execution, and completion of capital projects essential for our company's growth and success. This role requires strong project management skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee the execution and monitor the progress of Capex projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgetary constraints. 
  • Communicate project updates, solicit feedback, and address concerns to ensure alignment and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Coordinate with resource managers to allocate personnel, equipment, and materials effectively to support project requirements.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet established standards and specifications. 
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and change orders. 
  • Generate regular status reports and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards throughout the project.

About You

  • Proven experience managing Capex projects, preferably within a related industry such as manufacturing, construction, or infrastructure development.
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
