Cleanaway provides sustainable waste management solutions to a range of customers including councils, small businesses, large corporate entities and government agencies.Your new roleThe Capital and Fixed Assets Analyst will be an integral member of the finance function responsible for assisting in the application of relevant policies and procedures in relation to Fixed Assets. Partnering closely with key leaders in the business to provide timely and accurate information, responsibilities of this role will include:
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and Right-of-Use Asset Register to ensure complete and accurate accounting
- Ensure appropriate reconciliation of fixed asset balances in subledger, general ledger and consolidation systems
- Assist in the budget/forecasting process with regard to capex and depreciation
- Assist in the completion of annual and half year statutory reporting in accordance with timetable
- Assist in ensuring consistent high performance and compliance with internal controls for the accounting process, including but not limited to, balance sheet stewardship process, fixed asset procedures and fixed asset stocktakes
- Establish and implement standardised accounting processes, procedures, supporting templates and tools across the business
- Previous experience in a fixed asset accounting position with high volume and complex capital expenditure arrangements
- Demonstrated analytical ability and capacity for innovative planning and process improvement
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure appropriate documentation and audit trail
- Qualified Accountant with preference of completed post-graduate qualification (CA or CPA)
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of relevant accounting packages, JDE would be highly regarded
