AddressClassic Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a Golden West Joinery in Dalby to assist them in hiring a new General/Operations Manager.
This business is a local leader in high quality cabinetry and kitchen, bath, office and retail fitouts. They have a current staff of 10 experienced cabinet makers.
New owners have just taken over, and they are looking for a manager who will drive change and support the continued growth of the business.
Key Duties will include but not limited to:
Management:
- Overseeing daily operations of the business unit or organisation such as the production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
- Lead the team through adoption of new enterprise software
- Prepare budget estimates for all departments and provide/discuss with ownership
- General reporting on jobs, progress and cost tracking
- Recommend KPI’s for employees and enterprise. Setting key performance goals for their direct managers and assisting the managers with their teams
- Identifying areas needing cost reduction or process improvement.
- Evaluating and reporting upon proposed equipment purchases, infrastructure, and people.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, sub-contractors, clients and supervisors.
- Hold weekly meetings with the Sales Manager, Production Manager and Marketing Manager to discuss and analyse issues, on-going projects and new business.
- Recommend and oversee hiring and dismissal of personnel, and overseeing training programs.
- Conduct senior staff performance reviews, coordinate quarterly and annual reviews.
- Ensure projects are on budget, on time and installed properly.
- Review and approve invoices to be paid by accounting department.
- Supervise timesheets administration
- Ensure any necessary permits and licences are obtained by production team as needed.
